LocumLink (“we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your personal information in line with South Africa’s
Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it,
and how we keep it safe.
1. What we collect
We may collect and process personal information such as your name, contact details, professional registration
details, qualifications and supporting documents, booking history, platform activity, and basic technical information
like device type, browser, and IP address.
2. Why we collect it
We use your information to create and manage your account, verify professional eligibility and compliance, match
professionals with businesses, enable bookings and communication, improve platform safety and functionality, and
meet legal or regulatory requirements.
3. Document uploads & business access
If you upload qualification documents, registrations, or compliance-related files as a locum:

you give LocumLink permission to store and use them for verification and platform purposes; and

registered businesses on LocumLink may view these documents to confirm your qualifications,
registration status, and suitability for engagements.
If you are registered business on LocumLink you may only use these documents for verification and engagement purposes and may not share or distribute
them outside the platform.
4. Who we share information with
We only share personal information when necessary, including with registered businesses (for verification and bookings),
trusted service providers that help operate the platform (such as hosting, messaging, and payment processing),
and regulators or authorities where legally required. We do not sell your personal information.
5. How we protect your data
We take reasonable steps to secure personal information using access controls, secure systems, and confidentiality requirements.
While no system is perfect, we work hard to protect your data.
6. Your rights (POPIA)
You have the right to request access to your personal information, correction or deletion of your information (where legally appropriate),
and that we stop processing your personal information in certain situations.
