A Note from the Founder
LocumLink exists to make professional work fair again — built on trust, transparency, and respect for regulated professionals.
LocumLink was born out of necessity — and discomfort.
Built for professionals. Built for fairness. Built for South Africa.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, it became clear just how critical locums are to the functioning of our healthcare system. Professionals stepped in where they were needed most. Businesses relied on them to keep doors open, patients cared for, and communities supported.
But alongside that urgency, something else became painfully obvious.
Too much value was being taken out of the system.
Professionals were not always earning what they should,
Businesses were paying significant placement fees,
And the connection between the two was often filtered through layers that added cost, but not clarity.
LocumLink exists because we believed there had to be a better way.
Fairness should not be optional
At its core, LocumLink is built on a simple principle: the person doing the work should keep what they earn.
Professionals are not commodities
They are skilled, regulated practitioners whose expertise deserves respect — not markup.
No agency-style deductions
We do not place people. We do not take a cut of earnings. We provide infrastructure that enables trust.

We work in professions where integrity matters — where compliance, verification and accountability are non-negotiable.
Our guiding question:
Would a regulated professional trust this?
If the answer is no, we don’t do it. Growth matters — but never at the expense of dignity or ethics.
